Greenlight Design Studio was established modestly in September 1st 2001. For 3 years it was merely a side business until it took on a life of it’s own. At that point, Greenlight was a basic static graphic design company that worked strictly in the print industry. Graphics for events, conventions and things of that nature until the tragedy of 9/11 changed tourism in America especially Hawaii for quite sometime. Quitting was not an option and the opportunity of web development fell at my feet. We hit the ground running and so the next chapter began.
Growing up I always found something fascinating about the magic of photography. I had a camera in my hand in one way or another since I was a kid learning from my Grandfather on a Canon AE1 to which I have this day. But at a point a light went off in my head. People had always told me to do something more with it and when a new client came along and the imagery wasn’t quite professional enough I was able to lend my passion to either personalize an ad or the photos for a website. Eventually doing contract work for Pacific Basin Publications and ADASA Hawaii, an online fashion company which ended up being very fulfilling. Now photography has become a staple of Greenlight and has progressed to video. Sometimes things just have a way of working themselves out. Please take a few moments to browse some of the many photos that have kept me in love with the photo industry.
